Add-ons

The built-in features you can switch on from the Addons page, from a blog and forum to memberships, messaging and social login, with a guide for each.

Add-ons are optional features that come with Yclas. They are all there from the start, switched off, so your marketplace stays simple until you need more. Turn on the ones that fit your community: a blog for news, a forum for discussion, reviews to build trust, memberships to earn money.

Add-ons are built into Yclas. To connect an outside service such as Stripe, Mailgun or Google Maps, see Integrations instead.

Switch an add-on on or off

  1. In the admin panel, click Addons in the sidebar.
  2. Click the card of the add-on. Cards that are on show an On label.
  3. Click Enable (or Disable to switch it off). Some add-ons have extra settings on the same page.

Type in Search addons… to find one quickly. The page header shows how many of the add-ons are on.

Some cards carry a PRO label from the days when they were paid extras. On a site hosted by Yclas you can switch them all on.

When you switch on an add-on that has content to manage, a new item appears in the admin panel sidebar: Blog, FAQ, Forum, Reviews, Subscriptions or Transaction. Switching an add-on off hides it from your site and the sidebar but keeps its content, so nothing is lost if you turn it back on.
