Property and jobs packs

The property and jobs packs add what a property site or a job board needs on top of ordinary listings. The Property pack gives listings floor plans and a full set of property fields. The Jobs pack lets candidates apply to a job with their CV and gives employers a list of everyone who applied.

Both packs are available on every plan and work with the Nova theme.

Switch a pack on

The packs are off on existing sites. A new site created as a property or jobs marketplace in the sign-up wizard starts with its pack on.

The quickest way to start is the pack’s field template, which adds the fields and switches the pack on in one click:

1. Go to Listings › Custom Fields.
2. Under Start from a template, click Property pack or Jobs pack and confirm.
3. The new fields apply to every category. Open each one and limit it to the right categories.

To switch a pack on or off without adding fields, go to Settings › General, open Listing types and use Property pack or Jobs pack, then click Save changes. If a switch is greyed out with Set by Yclas support for your site., ask us through Support.

The older Real Estate and Jobs templates are still there and haven’t changed. The packs are the newer, fuller templates.

Property pack

The property fields

The Property pack template adds these fields, none of them required:

Size, Size unit, Plot size	Numbers, with square metres or feet.
Year built, Energy rating, Floor	A number and two lists.
Features	Tick boxes.
Agency name	Text, for estate agents.

Floor plans

With the pack on, the seller of a listing (or you, as administrator) sees a Floor plan box on the listing page itself: Add a floor plan image, then Upload. A listing can have up to 6 floor plans, in JPEG, PNG, GIF or WebP, within your site’s image size limit. Visitors see them under Floor plan and click one to open it full size. The seller removes one with the × on it.

Floor plans are added from the listing page after posting, not from the posting form. Deleting a listing deletes its floor plans.

Mortgage calculator and property search

If your plan includes the AI page builder, the pack adds two sections you can put on any page:

• Property search: a search with sale or rent and “3+ bedrooms” filters taken from your own fields.
• Mortgage calculator: visitors enter a home price, deposit, interest rate and term and see an estimated monthly payment.

The Jobs pack template adds Contract type, Remote or on-site, Salary from, Salary to, Salary period, Company and Company description.

Apply with a CV

On a job offer, candidates see Apply for this job. They add an optional message, attach their CV (PDF or Word .docx, up to 5 MB) and click Send application. Visitors who aren’t signed in also give their name and email. Your captcha applies, as on the contact form.

A listing counts as a job offer when it has one of the job fields filled in (contract type, remote or on-site, salary, company or job type) and it isn’t in your job seekers category. The listing’s own seller never sees the form.

The employer gets an email with the candidate’s details and a Download the CV link. The CV isn’t attached to the email: it’s stored privately, and only the employer, signed in, can download it, for 30 days.

Job applications

Employers find every application in Job applications: in the account menu at the top of your site, or in the admin panel sidebar under Listings. Each one shows the candidate, their message, Reply by email and, for 30 days, Download CV.

After 30 days the CV is deleted and the application stays. Applications are deleted after 12 months, and when their listing or the candidate’s account is deleted.

Job offers and job seekers

A job board often has two sides: employers posting vacancies and people posting their profile. A jobs site from the sign-up wizard gets two categories for this, Job offers and Job seekers, in your site’s language. Listings in the job seekers category never show the apply form.

With the AI page builder, the pack also adds a Job search section (contract and remote filters) and a Post your CV section that invites job seekers to post their profile.

Emails

The application email uses the user-contact template, the same one as the contact form. Reword it in Email templates.

Good to know

• The packs only change listings that use their fields. Your other categories look as they did.
• If you switch the jobs pack off, CVs already sent still expire after 30 days as usual.
• For estate agencies or recruiters who post many listings, look at business seller accounts.
