Welcome to Yclas
What Yclas is, what you get when you create a marketplace with it, and how this Help Centre is organised.
Yclas lets you run your own classifieds site or marketplace without writing code or managing a server. You choose a name, and a minute later you have a working site where people can sign up, post listings, contact each other and, if you want, pay you for extras such as featured listings or memberships.
People use Yclas for local buy-and-sell boards, car and property listings, job boards, rental sites, business directories and niche communities such as vintage guitars or farm machinery.
How Yclas works
Yclas is a hosted service. We run the servers, keep the software up to date, back up your data and look after security. You manage everything else from your browser:
- Your marketplace is the public site your members visit. It starts at an address like
yourname.yclas.com, and you can connect your own domain whenever you’re ready. - The admin panel is where you run the site: listings, categories, users, payments, design and settings. Open it from any page of your site by signing in as the administrator. See A tour of the admin panel.
- Your Yclas account at yclas.com is where you manage the business side: your plan and payments, your domain, support tickets and any other sites you run.
Every site starts with a 15-day free trial, no credit card needed. After that you pick a plan to keep it online. See Plans and billing.
