Marketplace sales report

See how much your sellers sold to other members, what you earned on it, your take rate and your top sellers, and download every sale as a CSV.

When members buy from each other on your site, the money belongs to the sellers, so the Orders page and Analytics leave those sales out of your revenue. The Marketplace sales page shows them on their own: how much your members sold, how much of it was refunded, and what you earned on it.

Open the report

Go to Analytics in the admin panel. Once your site has had its first sale between members, a link under the page title says Sales between your users and your commission. Click it to open Marketplace sales.

The report has nothing to show until a buyer has paid online for a listing or a booking. Before that, the link isn’t there; to set up selling, see Commission and service fees.

Choose the period

At the top, pick 7 days, 30 days (the default), 3 months or 12 months, or type your own dates in the two date boxes.

How much your sellers sold and what you earned

Part What it shows
Gross sales Everything buyers paid for listings in the period, with the number of orders and paid bookings.
Refunded What was refunded, with the number of refunds and the net sales that remain.
You earned Your commission and the buyers’ service fees on those sales.
Take rate What you earned, as a percentage of net sales.
Sellers and buyers How many members sold, and how many bought, at least once.
Sales and earnings per day A chart of sales and your earnings for each day.
Top sellers The 10 sellers who sold the most, with their orders, gross sales and what you earned from them.

Sales count every way a buyer pays a seller on your site: Buy Now, accepted offers and quotes, auctions, the shopping cart and paid bookings. Booking requests that take no money aren’t counted. If you sell in several currencies, each currency gets its own set of figures; they are never added together.

You earned only includes sales paid by card through Stripe Connect, where your commission is taken automatically. Sales paid to the seller another way (PayPal to the seller, Escrow.com, the eWallet) count as sales but earn you nothing here.

Download the sales

Download CSV saves every sale and paid booking of the period as a spreadsheet file, one row each: type (sale or booking), number, date, listing, seller, buyer, amount, amount refunded, what you earned, currency, status and how it was paid.

Good to know

  • Your own income (listing fees, promotions, membership plans and your commission) stays on the Orders page and in Analytics.
  • Sellers see their own figures on their sales dashboard.
  • If you run your marketplace in the EU, the DAC7 seller report is linked at the bottom of this page (administrators only).
